Grant to me, if it be your pleasure: spontaneity and discipline, laughter and reverence, energy and rest; the patience to take each day an hour at a time and the wisdom to handle whatever happens with common sense and trust in everlasting love and unfailing grace. May my spirit be free from fear and irritability, self-doubt and dark clouds. May I be a window through whom the light of life shines, and may I be ever mindful of the good I know, as well as of the needs of others. Through Christ my Lord. Amen
